"You can sleep when you're dead."

For our first night out in Shanghai we decided to start off with a bang. We met up with the LBAT students that are living in the same hotel as us. They are leaving on Sunday, so it's sad our programs only overlapped for a few days. They are mostly liberal arts majors so it was actually a ton of fun to be around them. The difference between the vibe in their group and one in our program is so different (my friend, Young, is the only non-engineering student in our program). Our friends are not quite as extroverted as I'm sure you can imagine.

They took us to a couple places last night and showed us the ropes. It was a ton of fun...maybe too much fun?

Kat and I stayed out with a couple of our friends until 6:30 in the morning. Yeah. Let that soak in. We even tried to go back out to a club when we got back to the hotel...who does that? We ended up staying awake until 7:30 hanging out in our room, I slept for 1.5 hours, went to class and have been awake ever since.

I decided to stay in tonight because I could not fall asleep for a nap today and I am really worried how I lasted this whole day without sleeping last night. That's not normal right?

So to recap our last three nights...
Tuesday: Pulled an all-nighter out in Tianjin, left for Shanghai at 5 am.
Wednesday: Went to see Man of Steel in theaters for the midnight premier. Movie theater was kinda far away....got back at 3:00 in the morning.
Thursday: Stayed out until 6:30, didn't go to bed until 7:30, woke up at 9 for class.

If this is any indication of how Shanghai is going to be for the next month I'm going to need to mentally prepare...
