Some things don't change...

Our favorite study spot is a Starbucks a block away from our hotel. We don't have wifi on campus, and studying on our beds isn't ideal. The internet isn't great there, but it's a good environment.

The prices for Starbucks coffee are actually about a dollar more here than in the US...pretty steep for China. In the states, I drink coffee every. single. day. It's not really a thing in China, so all of sudden I'm going cold-turkey for the next 2 months. Honestly, I'm not too upset about it, I think a break from some things is good for soul. Which reminds me that this summer I will also be separated from peanut butter (my one true love)...don't even want to talk about it.

Back to Starbucks- even though it's expensive, I don't feel too bad about buying it once in a while as a little treat to myself. We will stay there for hours to get some peace and quiet and knock out school work.

It's funny how I end up studying in Starbucks no matter which country I'm in...
They don't have normal flavors here though. While there are 'coffee mochas' and 'cafe americanos', the popular drinks here include all assortments of green tea concoctions . I took a picture of one sign, because you've got to see this for yourself...

The 'Red Bean Green Tea Frappuccino' everyone. Kat and I are determined to try it before we leave- once we've gathered up the courage.
