Makes total sense...
I love when there are English descriptions of food at grocery stores, or little sayings on restaurant walls and brand name items. They're always so strange and make very little sense. I should take a picture of the wall at pizza hut that says something like "Happiness, Friends, Togetherness". I laughed out loud. This is a little baked good I found at 7 Eleven.
I had to buy my notebooks for school here because I didn't feel like carrying extra pounds in my luggage on the way over if I didn't need to. First of all, the notebooks here are tiny and completely impractical. Spiral bound notebooks are not a thing...I had to buy these pretty ugly ones because they were the thickest I could find.
Also, people here wear shirts with English writing on them ALL the time. It's strange because we know most of them can't understand what it says so they're just wearing a random shirt. That's like me wearing a shirt with Chinese characters with zero clue what they mean. We've seen the most ridiculous things. Like "No Lay, No Pay" or "You're Irish Heart and Every Irish Part" (no clue what that's trying to get at) and we've seen "I'm Not Easy But I'm Willing to Discuss" which is as inappropriate as that first one. I mean, those are some of the more abstract ones, but I see at least 10 people a day wearing shirts with English writing on them.
